The REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) Regulations came into force on 1st June 2007.
Canford has received a number of requests from customers for information regarding any substances or articles supplied by us which may be affected by the requirements of these regulations.
Canford does not manufacture or import, to the best of its knowledge and belief, any materials which would cause us to become registrants under the regulations. Neither does Canford manufacture or distribute any articles which are designed to release substances, particularly substances of very high concern (SVHCs) as defined in the REACH Regulations, in normal use and in normal operating conditions. We do, in the course of standard business, use and distribute a limited number of chemicals (from reputable EU sources) which are commonly found in our industry sector for cleaning or lubrication applications. In the course of such trade, we have always offered appropriate MSDS sheets and encouraged feedback should any problems be encountered in use by our customers (so far there have been no such instances in over 20 years of experience). We will, of course continue to provide such information and support the exchange of any relevant safety data.
As always, Canford takes its regulatory responsibilities seriously and we will continue to monitor the development of such law. If the legal framework or our situation requires any updates to the statement above, we will update the information as necessary.
We hope this statement meets your requirement for information from Canford on this subject but if not, please e-mail any further questions to email@example.com.
